这个问题是我在Quora上面看到的。本以为会像国内论坛那样骂声一片乌烟瘴气，结果底下的回答都出乎意料的冷静。但是即使出现骂声，虽然不提倡，但也能理解。这样一个讨论负面话题的标题，很容易招来各种负面的声音。不过我还是选择回答了这个问题，当时我的回答如下：

Esperanto.

Its ideology is okay but the people I met who ‘know’ Esperanto are condescending and brainless. Its promotion couldn’t be stupider as I constantly hear “learning Esperanto helps learn other languages”. But truth is, learning ANY language helps learn another language regardless of their similarities.

This goes too far to prove a point. Is it that hard to admit English is more widely spoken than Esperanto, so much so that you have to make one person pretend she doesn’t speak English???

I’d rather spend a lot more time on learning Arabic than spend a second on Esperanto.
