Bizniŋ siniptin üçäylänniŋ luğiti yoq./Three (of us) from our class don’t have a dictionary.
2.As an appositional clarifier after plural personal pronouns, it clarifies the plural personal pronoun numerially. e.g.:Biz üçäylän bir guruppa bolayli, silär tötäylän bir guruppa boluŋlar, ular bäşäylän bir guruppa bolsun./The three of us will form a group, the four of you form a group, and let the five of them form a group.
Biz tötäylän Inglizçä öginimiz, silär altäylän Yaponçä öginisilär, ular bäşäylän Rusçä öginidu./我们四个学英语,你们六个学日语,他们五个学俄语。
3.It serves to universalize, by means of a numeral, several people who are pointed out by name. In this case the names of the people serve to qualify the ‘Number of Person’ Numeral. e.g.:Män, Äxmät, Tursun, Turdi tötäylän Aqsudin./The four of us—Äkhmät, Tursun, Turdi and I—are from Aksu.
Män, Ayim, Sabit üçäylän Märkiziy Millätlär Şöyüänidin./我、阿衣木、沙比提三个是中央民族学院的。
II.Pronominal Numerals1.When they indicate a certain definite number of individual people, they play the same role as ‘number of persons’ numerals. e.g.:Heliqi yeŋi kälgän ikkisimu yiğinğa qatnaşsun./Both those newcomers shoud attend the meeting too.
Bizniŋ siniptin üçimizniŋ luğiti yoq./Three (of us) from our class don’t have a dictionary.
Biz üçimiz bir guruppa bolayli, silär tötiŋlar bir guruppa boluŋlar, ular bäşi bir guruppa bolsun./The three of us will form a group, the four of you form a group, and let the five of them form a group.
Män, Äxmät, Tursun, Turdi tötimiz Aqsudin./The four of us—Äkhmät, Tursun, Turdi and I—are from Aksu.
When 1st and 2nd person Pronominal Numerals in this role act as possessive case qualifiers, the qualified object may either be in the 3rd person ownership-dependent form, or the ownership-dependent form matching the person of the Pronominal Numeral. e.g.:Bizniŋ siniptin üçimizniŋ luğiti/luğitimiz yoq./Three of us from our class do not have a dictionary.
Silär ikkiŋlarniŋ luğiti/luğitiŋlar barmu?
/Do you both have a dictionary?/Do the two of you have a dictionary?
2.The plural or sequential numeral represents one, or one part, of a certain universality. The universality represented by that Pronominal Numeral is known by the noun or pronoun that act as a qualifier for it in the possessive case but, when the context is clear, this kind of noun or pronoun may be omitted. e.g.:Biz bala, (bizniŋ) ikkimiz oğul, ikkimiz qiz./We are four children[i.e. brothers and sisters], two of us are boys and two are girls.
Bizniŋ birimiz Uyğur, birimiz Özbäk./One of us is an Uyghur and one an Uzbek.

For example:Älajilarğa birdin luğät, ikkidin däptär, birdin qäläm mukapat berildi./One dictionary, two notebooks and one pen were awarded to each of the top students.
Töttin at qoşulğan bäş harwa yolğa çiqti./Five carts set out, each attached to four horses.
b)When dependent on verbs, they indicate that a certain number of objects are evenly divided according to that numeral. For example:Bäştin tiziliŋlar./Line up in fives.
Bu däptärlär härbir oquğuçiğa ikkidin berilidu./Two each of these notebooks are to be given to every one of the students.
2)Distributive Numerals are also used in repeated form.Repeated Distributive Numerals are basically dependent on verbs and indicate that a certain number of objects are divided off successively, or distributed in a number of places, according to that numeral. For example:Ular ikki(din)-üçtin Uyğurçä sözlişişni mäşiq qiliwatidu./他们正在三三两两地练习维语会话。Ikki(din)-ikkidin olturuŋlar./你们两个两个地坐。 2.Adverbial Numerals(räwiş san)Adverbial Numerals are basically dependent on verbs and indicate that a number of people are connected with a certain action in groups of approximately that number. They are mostly used in repeated form or in the form of a small numeral paired with a larger one. For example:Kişilär birläp-ikkiläp tarqilişqa başlidi./The people began to disperse in twos or threes.
Yeŋi oquğuçilar yigirmiläp-ottuzlap kelişkä başlidi./The new students began to arrive in groups of twenty or thirty.
U yeqinda yüz bärgän wäqälärni bir-birläp äsläp ötmäktä./他正在一件一件地回忆着最近发生的事。
Mähmanlar ikki-üçläp kelişkä başlidi./客人们三三两两地开始来了。 VII.ADVERBIAL NUMERALSCOMMENTSIn many works about the Uyghur language, this type of numeral is made out to be one type of Approximate Numeral. In our opinion, although this type of numeral represents as an approximate meaning, it nevertheless differs syntactically from other Approximate Numerals. All other Approximate Numerals are directly dependent nouns and can serve as qualifiers, but this type of numeral cannot make direct contact with a noun; it is always dependent on a verb, or on the whole sentence and serves as an adverbial modifier. Therefore it is not possible to amalgamate it with Approximate Numerals. As we said in the previous section, it not possible to amalgamate it with Distributive Numerals either because, firstly, this type of numeral indicates the sense of an estimate, but Distributive Numerals which are formed on the basis of Cardinal Numerals express an exact numeral; secondly, this type of numeral is only dependent on verbs, but Distributive Numerals may also be dependent on nouns; thirdly, this type of numeral basically only has a connection with the actions of people, whereas Distributive Numerals have a relationship with the action of any kind of object. In short, it is a little more appropriate to count these numerals as a separate type and to call them Adverbial Numerals. VIII.PRONOMINAL NUMERALSCOMMENTIn fact, especially in oral language, this type of numeral is used even more than the ‘Number of Persons’ Numeral explained above. Therefore, it is certainly necessary to count it as a separate type of numeral and to insert it in the ranks of grammatical numeral types. §2.THE NOMINAZATION OF NUMERALS1.Attaching the Case SuffixIkki, töt, altä, säkkiz jüp san./二、四、六、八是双数。【主格】Ottzniŋ yerimi on bäş bolidu./三十的一半是十五。【属格】Bu qetimqi imtahanda män Uyğurçidin 99(ni), Rusçidin 84(ni) aldim./这次考试我维语得了99分,俄语得了84分。【宾格】
