请问这句话中的miss充当了什么语法功能

这句话复制粘贴，用百度、360搜索，出来的结果都是中国的网页。
而到google（美国版）里面搜索，则搜不出这句话。

我这边用Google搜出来也只有34个结果，而且都是带中文的，估计是哪个中国人写的吧。语法不对。

感谢楼上几位，我是一直没整明白，问学校教英语的同事也弄不清楚。看来这个句子是错的了。

显然是个错误句子。如果是missed，那还可以看成是is missed的结构。

原来是这种傻逼翻译。

正确翻译“其实一个人并不孤单，想念一个人的时候才是真正的孤单。"

应该是：in fact , a person alone is not lonely, but missing someone is really lonely
